A lucky day. Not far from the Ensenada Harbor (6 miles 240 degrees from Todos Santos Islands) we caught these 2 yellowfin tuna on a Sevenstrand Slimrunner and a tuna clone feather both in carrot top color and these 2 albacore.

red Vermillian on the Banda Bank. On board were
guests Brian Lam(pictured) and Edward Chang.
 

OUR FIRST BLUEFIN TUNA

Angler Gail and Captain Steve captured this 73 pound 11 ounce Bluefin Tuna 4 miles South East of the 425 on Friday, July 28. 2006. This tuna ate a 7Strand Tuna Clone TC300 in "Carrot Top." The water was 74 degrees and this tuna was caught by trolling in front of a school of porpoise.
 

Gail's Biggest Dorado

Caught July 22, 2006 on the 450 spot using live sardines Gail caught these two dorado. One weighed 26 pounds and the other 27.6 pounds.
 

185 Pound Marlin
Caught Oct.8, 2005

At the 390 spot (32-04-854/117-50-865) this wild marlin ate a 7Strand Clone in goatfish color in 6-8' heavy seas @ 1:30 p.m. We travelled 171 miles that day on my Birthday weekend.
 

6 POUND CALICO BASS

Caught June 16th, 2005 at Bajo San Miguel
with a M.C. Swimbait.
 

OUR BIGGEST DODOS
Kiku and Steve's largest mahi mahi
caught August 7, 2004 near the 450.
Steve's dorado weighed 18 1/2 pounds
and ate a custom hawiian lure
Kiku's dorado weighed 13 1/2 pounds
and ate a 7Strand sablefish bullethead lure.

March 13, 2007 Edward Chang and Brian Lam show off their Giant Squid that they caught on Bad Dog.  With Juan Lu and Steve the group boated over 30 of these from 30 to 45 pounds each in 58 degree water from 0700-0900.  They had to quit fishing them as all anglers were exhausted.

Steve holds September 2006 captured Mola Mola who starred in Fish Rap 10/20/06 article and appears on mexfish.com. After removing a dozen parasites, this Ocean Sunfish was released back to the paddy where he was found.
 

Gail, Juan Lu and Steve on Friday night Dec.29, 2006 caught 14 of these giant squid from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. They were outside the Banda Bank on the 500 fathom curve.

On January 12, 2007, at the same spot on the 500 fathom curve Steve, Gail and Juan Lu boated 38 Giant Squid from the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

We drove 62 miles one way to the 390 area (32.04.854/117.50.865) in 6-8' seas and 10 knots of wind in 66 degree water for Gail to catch this whopper 185 pounder at 1:00 p.m. on 10/8/2005. Total mileage for the day was 171 and we burned 195 gallons in rough seas.
 

October 1, 2005, 165 Pound Marlin

caught by Gail on 1010 trench at 11:00 a.m. eating a Zuker Mean Joe Green. A mako shark was bounced by Alex in the dark.
